Siemens SIRIUS 3RW softstarters are a series of electronic devices for smooth start-up: from small, combined with contactors, circuit breakers and SIRIUS overload protection relays to powerful devices designed for currents up to 1214A. Soft-start devices provide a gentle mode for connected engines, reducing the starting torque. The power supply is protected from dangerous peaks by reducing the current consumption during startup.
The choice of the Siemens SIRIUS soft starter device depends on the requirements of the customers. The 3RW30 series SCP is designed for smooth start of three - phase asynchronous electric motors, and the 3RW40 and 3RW44 series softstarters are designed for smooth start and smooth stop.

SIRIUS 3RW30 SOFT STARTER DEVICES
Siemens 3RW30 is a series of small-sized digital soft-start devices specially designed for three - phase asynchronous electric motors of small and medium power (1.1-55 kW). Siemens 3RW30 soft start devices are widely used in refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, pump control systems, belt conveyors, etc.and can significantly reduce starting currents and excessive starting torque during the start of the electric motor, providing reliable protection of the electric motor, process mechanisms, as well as the power supply network.
- Unified series for the current range from 3.6 to 106 A with standard sizes S00 (45 mm), S0 (45 mm), S2 (55 mm) and S3 (70 mm).
- Close-up mounting design for use at ambient temperatures up to 60° C without reducing the current (Derating).
- The devices are designed for smooth start of the electric motor (run-out is free)
- Easy adjustment with two potentiometers (acceleration time, initial start voltage).

SIRIUS 3RW40 SOFT STARTERS
Siemens 3RW40 is a series of soft-start devices characterized by the presence of electronic overload protection of the motor (IEC 60947-4-2 standard) and the ability to control the electric current in two phases. Also, these SCP have internal protection, which is assigned to the shunt contact system. The starters are used for smooth stepless start-up of three-phase asynchronous motors with a power of up to 250 kW.
- A wide range of operating currents: 12.5 - 432A, which allows them to be used in most cases.
