The magazine "Modern lighting engineering" in No. 1 of 2014 presents the rating of lamps for ceilings of the "Armstrong" type, the third line in which was taken by the LED lamp "Baikal 600 Lux" produced by DURAY.
10 companies participated in the rating. The presented lamps were supposed to create uniform illumination on the working plane (0.8 m from the floor level) with an average value of 500 lux. in a conditional room of an office, sales hall, office or other object where suspended ceilings of the "Armstrong" type are installed.
Control measurements for the calculation of the lighting project were carried out by the partner of the publishing house "Electronics" – the testing center of VNISI. The following were subject to measurement:
- the luminous flux of the lamp
- power consumption
- current consumption
- power factor
- ripple coefficient
- color temperature
- color rendering index
- decrease in the luminous flux during one hour of operation
According to the results of measurements of each parameter, the lamps were assigned a score on a scale from 1 to 11. Moreover, the better the measurement results were, the higher the score was set. For the final rating, in addition to the measured indicators, the cost of installing lighting and the warranty period of the lamps were also taken into account.
The Baikal 600 Lux LED lamp demonstrated high test results in all parameters, thereby confirming its quality. At the same time, the Baikal 600 Lux lamp has become one of the best in terms of the uniformity of light distribution in the room. Having scored a total of 98 points, the lamp took the third place in the final rating of LED lamps for a suspended ceiling of the "Armstrong" type from the magazine "Modern lighting Engineering".
To achieve such results of the quality of the lamp, it was possible to use only components from the best world manufacturers in its production: NICHIA series 757 LEDs of the latest generation and Plexiglass diffusers – as well as a well-established and constantly controlled production process.
