The manufacturer NIVELCO has expanded the line of popular hydrostatic level meters of the NIVOPRESS N series with a new model with a fully plastic body and a piezoresistive ceramic sensor.
The body of the new model is made of industrial plastic POM (Polyoxymethylene) POM is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic material that is characterized by a low coefficient of friction and a good degree of wear resistance, since it is not affected by wet environments. POM has good resistance to a wide range of chemicals, including a large number of solvents. All these properties of the housing material make the NIVOPRESS N level meters suitable for applications where electrochemical corrosion can cause potential damage to stainless steel devices. This can include, for example, use in seawater or in other salt solutions.
Another advantage of the new model in a POM plastic housing is that, unlike models with a polymer coating made of stainless steel, the diameter of such a transmitter does not exceed 24 mm, so it is suitable for use in a 1” pipe, which significantly expands the range of possible applications of the NIVOPRESS N series level meters.
For these models, the manufacturer offers 2 types of cable: PUR-cable or FEP-cable, thus limiting the contact of the measured medium with any part of the stainless steel device.
