UPS operating on the Off-line technology protect only from power outages. Under normal network characteristics, the voltage enters the load through the filter. At the same time, the battery is recharged through the rectifier. When the voltage drops, the inverter turns on and the load is powered from it. The main disadvantages of the off-line UPS are its poor performance in networks with low quality of the electrical network, the inability to restore the battery capacity in a timely manner with frequent switching to battery power and non-sinusoidal output voltage when powered from the battery. The UPS, built using linear interactive technology, reliably operates in a very wide voltage range, saving the resource of the built-in battery as much as possible. The built-in internal voltage stabilizer allows you to maintain a stable output voltage on the load in a wide range of supply network voltages. The UPS protects the load from power outages, high and low voltage. Linear-interactive uninterruptible power supplies have found the most widespread application in computer network protection systems. The typical switching time to battery power mode is 2-10ms.
Finally, the On-line technology allows you to implement the most reliable type of UPS. An uninterruptible power supply that uses the principle of double conversion of electrical energy( double conversion): first, the alternating voltage of the network is converted to a constant, and then a stable output alternating voltage is formed from the constant (a pure sine wave at the output). Additionally, it is possible to connect an external bypass, which allows you to completely exclude the UPS from the load power supply circuit and perform service work, while the power supply in the load is not interrupted. VISION UPS offers a 1kVA UPS with a galvanic decoupling transformer. Transformer technology is used in cases where even more stability of the output parameters of the UPS and protection of the load from the constant component is needed. In such a transformer, there is no closed electrical circuit between the input and output, which significantly increases the system's resistance to interference and allows the UPS to be used in difficult industrial conditions.
