New product from Murrelektronik

Today, as a rule, servos are connected using compact M23 connectors with a cable, which are increasingly used as standard connections (unlike junction boxes). In the near future, Murrelektronik will offer the market power and signal cables of the highest quality (size 1.0). Such cables are easy to install, absolutely sealed, resistant to shock, vibration and any external influences.

The casing of these cables is made in two colors: orange (power cable) and green (signal cable). They were created specifically to solve the problem of connecting servos with a connector size of 1.0. Until now, connecting a servo through the M23 connector has caused many inconveniences to the user: lack of tightness, unreliability when exposed to shock and vibration, as well as inconvenience in assembly and time costs.

Currently, Murrelektronik already offers M8 and M12 connectors to solve these problems. It is this knowledge and extensive experience with servo connections that allowed Murrelektronik to develop and offer the market innovative M23 connectors with a cable for organizing the interface between servo controllers and servomotors. First of all, it is planned to produce cables for connecting Siemens servo controllers and servos.

M23 connectors with different contact positions will be available for connection from the motor side. For connection from the controller side, Murrelektronik suggests using power cables with precise connectors with bare or ready-to-install ends (signal cables are equipped with a Sub-D connector). A large number of Drive Cliq connectors will also be available.

M23 connectors with cable from Murrelektronik are the ideal solution for connecting servos to servo controllers:

  1. They provide complete tightness in accordance with IP67/68, do not contain halogens. The cable is securely connected to the connector housing, which ensures the maximum degree of tension. The screw thread makes it easy, safe and reliable to assemble (of course, using a torque wrench, not an adjustable one). It also simplifies installation, even in places that are difficult to reach.
  2. The M23 connectors are resistant to any external influences: they have a built-in anti-vibration lock. This mechanism prevents the occurrence of loosening in the connector connections and ensures constant tightness - there is no need for tightening and maintenance.
  3. Easy assembly without installation errors. The cables are securely molded and 100% tested, which makes them protected from any external influence. This increases the security of the system and reduces the sources of errors.

But that's not all: M23 connectors from Murrelektronik have many other attractive characteristics:

  1. Electromagnetic compatibility due to 360° shielding and ESD control program
  2. Low weight - the weight has decreased by 30%.
  3. Corrugated connecting tubes. Often, the need to use corrugated pipes is due to the presence of dirt, clay soil or earth. The Murrelektronik product works without the use of adapters and cable ties. This is a convenient solution for customers who prefer to install corrugated tubes.
  4. Excellent cable quality. Murrelektronik uses only high-quality PUR cables. They comply with the Siemens MC800 standards.
  5. Easy-to-understand article numbers. Murrelektronik uses part numbers identical to Siemens to ensure an easy search for the necessary product.
